GTU Fathers Day Preview.jpg
This week, I am featuring creative pin ideas for Father’s Day! I thought I would try to find gifts in 3 different “levels” of effort… but all very thoughtful and original. Some I liked, some…not so much!

Hammer.jpg
I LOVED this idea but was DYING at the price tag ($75.00). So… I thought, why not? I can totally make this for less. I bought a hammer for $8 and a wood burning kit for $14 (both from Amazon) and thought I would be set to go!
The process is easy, just write your message on the hammer. Plug in the wood burning tool and burn away! (Make sure you give it some time to heat before you start to burn the wood).

I am now understanding where the price comes from. It is called TALENT. I still love this idea. But, I am clearly not that great at writing on a curved surface. But, this is still  super thoughtful and I think my Dad will only laugh for a few minutes when he opens up this gift on Fathers Day.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this simple pin because you just have to take a picture and add your wording. If I had time, (and a kid in a cute age range for this gift) I would have taken this pin to Camera Shy (www.camerashy.com) and told them my idea and let them take a cute pic with a solid background because I really think this is a keeper!

Sadly for me, my kids are just too old to get away with this gift and the effect is just a little less “cute”, haha. *awkward* haha (not to mention the poem is to have it be from a boy, not a girl...

The third idea is these awesome bags from In a Pikle.

I like that my husband for sure hasn’t seen these in a regular store so it feels like a more original gift they couldn’t just buy for themselves.

The three things I loved from their website were:
Gherkin Pikle.jpg
Gherkin Pikle… This organizer bag is awesome for keeping all the “guy needs” organized. I also love their additional items they have for men (and for me)… insect repellent, sunscreen, flashlight, pocket knife, and I love the tool card. It has all kinds of tools all on this little metal card. It is like a small handyman miracle for your bag.
GTU-Tool Wrap.jpg
Tool wrap -I think Jared is going to love this tool wrap. So much better than just chucking a few tools in our boat when we are heading to Powell, and way less chunky than a tool box!  This is perfect for other tools too...cooking tools, hair styling tools, etc.
Gherkin Bundle.jpg
Gherkin bundle…I think this bundle is perfect for carrying SO many things. Our latest use for this bag was to carry various electronics when we travel! You can take it on the plane with you and not have to have everything all over the place. The Gherkin Bundle is also perfect for a Daddy diaper bag!  Dad's don't like the bulky (and cutsie!) diaper bags that mom carries.  This is the perfect size for a couple diapers and wipes, an extra binky, diaper rash cream, etc. We also offer a fun wipe pouch and diaper changing pad that fits perfectly in the Bundle.  It is compact and masculine!

And {drum roll please} I am giving away a Pikle bag! Comment on my Instagram post for this contest that you are interested in this bag and I will randomly select a winner on Friday.

In a pikle is also offering a discount of $5 off every purchase over $20 with the code GTU5. This code will expire on July 8, 2016.
