DIY Hair Removal Techniques

Since Summer is here, I thought it would be a good idea to try some DIY Hair removal ideas!  Here is what I tried…
Iodine and Baby Oil Mix

Items Needed:
1 Tablespoon 2% Iodine
1 Cup Baby Oil

Directions:
Mix ingredients together
Rub on hair for 5 minutes and rinse off.

My Opinion:  What a joke!  First of all, the Iodine and the Baby Oil really don’t blend.  But, I did take some of the most mixed mixture and put on my arm for 5 minutes.  I guess I was a bit grateful that my hair is still there because I really didn’t want to lose it anyway!  On the plus side, I guess my arm is softer…
Sugar and Honey Hair Removal

Items Needed:
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
Corn Starch or Baby Powder
Wooden Stick or Spatula

Directions:
Combine and mix the brown sugar, honey and lemon in a microwaveable bowl
Microwave for about 2 minutes but stop and stir every 30 seconds.
Let the mixture cool to a comfortable temperature.
Dust the area that you want to “wax” with the corn starch or baby powder.
Apply the wax in the direction of your hair.
Apply the cotton strip, and RIP it in the opposite direction of your hair :)

My Opinion:

IT WORKS!  (Yikes!  I have a random spot of arm hair missing!)  I LOVE IT!  So much less messy than traditional wax.
